Welcome to CarseChurches.org.uk

The linked charge, set in the beautiful Carse of Gowrie, takes in the villages of Abernyte, Inchture, Kinnaird and Longforgan, and the surrounding area.

Panoramic views of the Sidlaws, the River Tay and the Lomond Hills in Fife can be enjoyed from various points in the parish. With easy access to the A90, both Perth and Dundee can be reached in fifteen minutes. Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen are also all within easy travelling distance, as are Pitlochry, the Angus Glens and St. Andrews. The parish is covered by Perth and Kinross Council for local government purposes but is within Dundee Presbytery, on its western boundary.

The four congregations worship every Sunday in their respective village churches. Each church has its own unique and distinctive character, very much at the heart of village life. Although there are four congregations, there are only three Kirk Sessions: Abernyte, Inchture and Kinnaird, and Longforgan. Abernyte also has a Congregational Board.
